Career Opportunity: Director of Safety and Security | Colorado State Fair
The Colorado Department of Agriculture is hiring a Director of Safety and Security to lead and strengthen safety, security, and emergency preparedness efforts for the Colorado State Fair in Pueblo.
This full-time leadership position will oversee safety and security planning and operations, supervise seasonal staff and contractors, coordinate training and exercises, conduct safety and security assessments, and work closely with local and state public safety partners. The Director will also help maintain emergency plans, support major events throughout the year, and serve as a key partner to the CDA Office of Emergency Management.
Salary: $96,852 - $116,220 annually
Location: Pueblo, Colorado
Work Arrangement: Full-time, in-office
Minimum Experience: Nine years of relevant education and/or experience, including experience in law enforcement, public safety, emergency management, or event security.
Ideal candidates will bring strong leadership, public safety and emergency management experience, relationship-building skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a large-event environment.
