Temporary, Exempt Full-Time Position
To ensure continuity of Office of Emergency Management (OEM) services to the residents of Custer County and surrounding organizations while an extensive search for highly qualified replacement for retiring OEM Director is conducted, the Custer County Board of County Commissioners is accepting applications and letters of interest for a full-time Interim Director. Key Responsibilities:
- This interim position receives general oversight from the Board of County Commissioners (BoCC). It performs the duty assignment according to his or her own judgement, requesting supervisory assignments only when necessary. Special projects are managed with little oversight and assignments may be reviewed upon completion.
Starting Wage: $5,922.83/month

Inside Info -(not from official channels): The current EM is retiring, with a new CWPP and partnerships in the Arkansas River Watershed, to include recent funding for ARWC to fund a WRAP plan. Custer County is also actively pursuing a CWDG grant and other wildfire mitigation opportunities.
